The Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley (TOSDV) was founded in 1955 as the second Chapter of the nationwide American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS).  Our purpose is to preserve the historic tradition of the Theatre Pipe Organ in American music. Based in eastern Pennsylvania, we restore remaining specimens of the instrument where possible, work with theatres to preserve them, and showcase them to the public for entertainment.

                                                         Our Goal

The goal of TOSDV is to be the premier organization that preserves the appreciation of the theatre pipe organ as an art form for current audiences, and to introduce it to new generations of all ages in the Delaware Valley.

                                                       Our Mission

  1. To introduce to, and to educate the public on, the rich traditions of the theatre pipe organ.
  2. To offer public presentations of theatre pipe organ music via concerts, silent film accompaniments, and sing-alongs.
  3. To invite “hands-on” public interaction with the Chapter’s organs.
    (You get to play!)
  4. To work with our theatres and local community organizations to provide additional entertainment offerings using our instruments.
  5. To provide for the care of the Chapter’s two Theatre Pipe Organs in Phoenixville, PA and in Glenside, PA.
