MÖLLER OPUS 5230
Update Jan 30, 2015
The crew of the Moller has been working on installing the new “relay” system. While we knew this would not be a simple pull and replace, we did not realize how much a pain in the ass it would be. There were many nagging problems, like the lack of updated documentation and software compilers.
Like most things, once you have done one it easy, but the first one make you want to toss the whole thing out the nearest door.
With some help ( which we had budgeted for) we were able to get the console playing again. We still have program modifications to make for the crescendo pedal, and special feature and functions, (like the console swell shade indicators), along with some wood working for the display/control panel, but we are progressing. Plans for an open console in the spring (May timeframe) is being planned.
We are also planning to apply for another grant from ATOS to have the blower overhauled and the control system replaced. We have noticed a slight vibration coming from the blower assembly which needs to be addressed. Along with this, a pre-filter for the air intake to keep dust out of the wind lines, and a new control system, to soft start the motor with status indicator for power, blower on and wind pressure.
Then the real fun begins with a total overhaul of the chambers. This will include, replacement of all soft wind lines, rebuilding of chests, and pipe work.

We would like to thank the staff of the Keswick Theatre for their help and patience
